  1. 1. Tasks to close
  2. 2. Tasks needing work
There's lots of discussion going on through email about GSm, where we're headed, what's important, etc.  In the meantime there are the tasks we set out to accomplish with the original "Draft Agenda" that led to the creation of the GSm wiki.  Wiki aside, I'd like to do a check-in with respect to those tasks just to see if they are alive, who's engaged and if so to what extent.

Tasks to close

Community Connections Task, Andy

  • Output: Resources/Communities_and_People.
  • Additional contributors: Mark S.
  • I'm in favor of closing this task and looking for new ways of getting resources like this built.

GSm Problem Map Task, David

David Price 21 July 2008 Thanks Andy: I'll revisit the map later this week (anyone who would like to is welcome to join me in this): and suggest that we sign off on this task (for now) on Friday evening.

David Price 29 July 2008 Just to confirm that I'm happy to sign off on this task formally now.

Tasks needing work

I think the two task here are initmately interrelated.

Sensemaking (Sm) Tools Audit Task, Mark A.

  • The description Mark provides for this task is, I think, spot on.  I remain convinced this is a high-payoff task and would like to see it strongly supported by the community.

I especially like this part:  What will be a worthy development from this effort is creating meaningful ways to differentiate technologies to better understand the the functional features of the technology relative to the sense-making support communities require.

GSm Tools Wish List Task, George

George has also been looking into a hosting a workshop with potential GSm tool users to further drive out requirements.
